Responsibilities
- Each student is responsible for turning in all work assigned in class. Any work not completed in class is homework and is to be turned in the next day. A maximum of ½ credit will be given for work turned in one day late, and zero credit will be given for work turned in after one day late (or per teacher discretion).
- For excused absences, each student may make up class work, homework, and tests. Each student will have time equal to the number of days absent plus one to make up the work missed except in the case of a test/quiz or long term assignment that was scheduled prior to the absence. Your teacher will expect you to be ready to take a test/quiz or turn in projects when they are due, unless there is a previous agreement to delay (please see student handbook). Each student must make arrangements with the teacher the day s/he returns from the absence to make up tests/quizzes. The teacher will not ask you for any work or tests that need to be made up. If you are absent the day of a test only, you are responsible for making it up the day you return.
BE RESPONSIBLE!!
- Each student is to get at least two phone numbers/email addresses from different people in class so s/he may contact them to get information or assignments in case s/he is absent. Choose a “STUDY BUDDY” or partner who you can rely upon to take good notes for you. Many teachers have websites listing daily work. Be sure to check your teachers’ websites while you are absent. If your teacher doesn’t have a website or you need additional information, please email your teacher so that you can keep up with any missed assignments.
- Each student is responsible for his/her group work as well as individual work in class.

Academic Honesty
Academic honesty is held in very high regard at Medea Creek. Cheating includes but is not limited to: copying another student's work, plagiarism, and talking during a test. Consequences include but are not limited to: detention and/or a zero on the assignment/test. Please refer to the Medea Creek Student Handbook for more information.

Grades
Each assignment is given a point value. Students receive points for each assignment completed on time and for each test/quiz taken. Students earn points for group work as well. At the end of the grading period, students’ points are added up, and the total points earned are divided by the total points possible. This gives the students a percentage.
The following is the grading scale:
100%=A+ 89%-88%=B+ 79%-78%=C+ 69%-68%=D+ 59% and below=F
99%-93%=A 87%-83%=B 77%-73%=C 67%-63%=D
92%-90%=A- 82%-80%=B- 72%-70%=C- 62%-60%=D-
Grades are updated approximately every two weeks in Q SIS Student. If you still need a password or help logging in, please contact the office. You and your parents should check Q regularly. You can access Q SIS from the MCMS website. Be sure to select “show all” at the top of assignments. Assignments in red indicate that the assignment wasn’t turned in or that the name is missing. “Not graded” indicates that the assignment hasn’t been graded yet and therefore isn’t affecting the overall grade.
