    The word of the month is INDEPENDENCE.  What does independence mean?  

    Ask your parents why we celebrate July 4th?

    Think about fireworks.  Describe the colors, sounds and dangers.
    How are a bicycle and a tricylcle the same?  How are they different?
    Say to your child, "I can see the sea."  What does that mean?
    Name 3 water safety rules.
    Where does honey come from?  What do you put honey on?

    Make an obstacle course outside.  Play backyard Olympics with your friends.  What items would you need?

    Tell about your favorite cartoon character.

    Plan a picnic with your child.  Ask the what you should take, eat, see and do on your picnic.

    Ask your child what does it mean when your mom says, "Make your room shipshape".
    Have your child name vehicles that have:

     Ask your child to pretend that he/she is a lion tamer.  Ask your child what they would have the lions do and where we they go.
     
    Ask your child to name the state they live in and name 2 fun things to do in California.
     
    How are a touchdown and a home run the same? How are they different?
    Ask your child what they would see at a carnival and what things would they like to do there. 
    Explain what a "promise" is.  Make a promise and keep it.   
    Make a fort with your child and have a pretend camp-out.  Ask your child what items you would need for your camp-out.
    Ask your child to name an animal that has a:
     - trunk
     - snout
     - bill
     - beak
     - nose
    Ask your child to tell you what they would do if the lights went out.
     
     
    Get 3 different kinds of balls.  Have your child predict, then test, which ball they think would bounced the highest, rolled the farthest and easiest to throw. 
    Name 5 flavors of ice cream.  Which is your favorite?
    School will start again soon!
